Where to find in-house roles

It’s time for me to answer my most asked question in a blog post.

This post is simple for a reason- finding in-house roles is not complicated. There are thousands out there, you just need to know where to look.

Here’s a list of those places. Click the names to visit them!

LinkedIn Jobs – make sure you set up job notifications so you are the first to hear about roles posted under your specific search terms.

Employer websites – some will have a dedicated careers portal. Sign-up to receive updates on legal roles direct from companies that you would like to work for. If there is no dedicated space, then bookmark the page and visit it regularly.

Glassdoor – not only a company review website, Glassdoor also lists roles. You’ll need to sign-up to access it, but in my opinion it’s worth it. Just make sure your search is specific to law otherwise you’ll be inundated with emails!

Recruitment agencies – look out for a post coming soon with a list of those with specific in-house teams.

Totally Legal – you’ll rarely find anything new here but Totally Legal helpfully collates roles from recruitment agencies under a refined in-house search.

The Lawyer Careers – you’ll mostly find qualified roles here but there is a dedicated in-house careers page to regularly check.

Indeed – don’t discredit generic job sites. Many legal roles are posted here too!

@inhouselegal – ran by a legal professional who collates many in-house roles and posts them under one, easily accessible Instagram profile.
